SportPort-International-Placard-300x173St. Louis Development Academy makes its home at SPORTPORT International in Maryland Heights.

The City of Maryland Heights built SportPort as a municipal recreation facility in 1999. Since its creation, SportPort has hosted soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey matches and leagues. In 2015, HSL Sports undertook management and renovation of the SportPort facility, re-branding the facility as SPORTPORT International to reflect the newly installed world-class fields.

Just 15 minutes from St. Louis Lambert International Airport, minutes from Interstates 70 and 270 and the Page Extension, and more than 3,600 hotel rooms within a 10-mile radius, Sporting’s home is one of the most accessible facilities in the area. The initial renovations included construction of four state-of-the-art artificial turf fields, a new access road to improve traffic flow, and renovation of the grandstands on the stadium field. The four soccer-specific fields that Sporting uses for training sessions have six pounds of infill per square foot. This feature makes the turf fields some of the safest in our region; this playing surface mirrors the weight and speed of grass more closely. The facility also boasts new additional parking, improved concessions, and an international-caliber field hockey pitch.
